Recognized across the State as a “must attend” event for professional Structural Engineers, this year’s State Conference will be held in the vibrant city of Dallas - home of our largest Chapter!

An exciting program of presentations and events is planned to appeal to delegates, vendors and companions.

As in the past, the Conference will kick off with a half-day golf tournament held at the Fire Wheel Golf Course in Garland on Thursday October 27. This will be followed by an icebreaker social on the evening of the Thursday 27, held in the Exhibit hall, allowing delegates to network and meet with exhibitors prior to the official start of the official start of the Conference.

The day and a half technical program will include a number of talks on engineering-specific topics given by recognized industry leaders. Those attending all the presentations can expect to earn around ten professional development hours of continued education credit.

Banquet/Awards

One of the highlights of the conference is the banquet/awards ceremony on Friday evening. This year, Fort Worth Star-Telegram columnist Dave Lieber, one of Texas’ funniest speakers, will be the guest speaker. His amusing, light-hearted tone will be a welcome change of pace after the day of technical talks for conference attendees and entertaining for spouses and companions.

Golf Tournament
The Conference will kick off with a golf tournament at the beautiful Fire Wheel Golf Course in Garland on the morning of Thursday, October 27. The tournament will include both breakfast and lunch as well as a generous array of prizes. The fee is $125.00 per player. Sponsorship opportunities range from $100 to $500.

Technical Sessions
Technical sessions will be held on Friday October 27, with a half day of sessions on Saturday, October 29. A site visit is also planned for Saturday afternoon. By attending all technical events, attendees should be able to accumulate 12 to 15 PDHs - possibly more!
